As the sole proprietor of a freelance graphic design service, located in Southern California, I am contracted for a wide range of print and web/interactive marketing projects. These include brochures, ads, direct mail, tradeshow collateral through to web development, CMS sites, email broadcasting systems and Flash animations.

My preferred software includes Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver. My favorite CMS web technology is Squarespace.

I particularly enjoy taking a project from concept to completion, working directly with the owner of the business, or head of marketing. When a large project requires additional hands, I have a team of skilled and experienced independent service providers, including designers, photographers, illustrators and web coding experts.

What began as a freelance assignment became a full time AD (art director) position. Duties included design and production on a wide range of tech projects. Clients included: AIWA Raid Technology, Epoch Internet, Bell & Howell, etc. Designed logos, direct mail, brochures, trade show materials.

1996 - 1997 | The CDM Company, Newport Beach, CA | Creative Director

Managed a “stable” of artists at this Newport Beach marketing firm. Largest client was Carl’s Jr. Worked within the style guides and licensed properties from Disney, Warner Brothers, as well as original designs. Created print collateral and POP displays.

1992 - 1996 | The Orange County Agency Years, Orange County, CA
Graphic design projects included flash animations, web design, print collateral, brochures, annual reports, and logos for large and medium sized companies: Sorin BioMedical, Hewlett Packard, Automated Resource Management, Verbal Advantage, Ingram Micro, Teklogic.

1991 - 1992 | Lee Canter & Associates, Santa Monica, CA | Production Manager

This position also began as a freelance designer for this popular educational publishing company. I was hired as production manager where my duties included working with marketing team to create collateral, press checks for book division, tradeshow materials, and other print projects.

1986 - 1991 | Straight Line Design, Venice, CA | Design and Printshop Owner

Ads, brochures, logos, direct mail and other collateral material were produced and printed in this small design and printing shop.
