Logos

Do you need a custom logo?
(Maybe not)

Sometimes just a distinctive (and appropriate to your business) font family will work perfectly fine.

Simple is always stylish.

So why have a logo at all?

There are multiple reasons why you should have some kind of “logo” (or simply just a symbol, icon, or avatar that represents your business).

For a small business, a customized logo is not essential, but it comes in handy for a variety of marketing needs, which are not limited to checks, business cards, any print materials, your Google profile, or anywhere you promote your business.

A Custom Professionally Designed Logo Adds a Degree of Professionalism

(even though a custom “graphic-type logo” is really not essential!)

You Have Multiple Options:

  • If you have zero budget for a logo, Squarespace (and other places online) have “free logo builders”. No surprise, it’s very limited in what you can do, but it’s also free

  • If you hunt around the internet, you can find many beautiful logo templates for a small fee. I like Graphic River, but there are plenty of other options

  • If you go the template route, I can help you further customize any template with my Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop skills. I charge an hourly rate of $125 to customize a logo from a template

  • I build custom logos. Fees vary. A firm quote is provided after a discovery consultation

When your budget is limited…

The logos shown below are actually FREE templates.
There are literally thousands of potentially appropriate templates, and many are free.

Templates can be easily modified for any appropriate business.
Edit font, color, name, and graphic.

And just for laughs, I found this SNL skit to be truly hilarious.

Graphic designers, enjoy!
