Pitch Decks & Style Guides

Two Indispensable Business Tools

Pitch Decks are recommended to secure funding, attract potential new clients, or act as a way to acquire new partners.

This Canva template demonstrates the type of content typically found in a pitch deck.

A well-crafted pitch deck is a visual presentation that can be presented in person as a slideshow, shared online as a link, as a PDF, or as a printed handout. They are typically about 10–15 slides (or pages).

The pitch deck should include a value proposition, a mission, a market opportunity, growth potential, and basically everything else about your business model, including milestones, contact information, and your team members. Basically, you will want to communicate why your business is rock solid.

An effective pitch deck is brief and to the point, with dynamic graphics, charts, and other important data to help tell your story. When thoughtfully designed, it can often make all the difference in capturing the attention and support of investors or collaborators.

Style Guides are important for maintaining a brand’s identity and reputation by establishing consistency.

For many years, larger corporations have relied on style guides, but even a small business will certainly benefit from having written rules for formatting, fonts, color palettes, logos, and tone.

Even more importantly, a style guide will save time and effort by eliminating the need for constant decision-making and editing, and the potential to muddle the company brand.

Whether it's your website, a marketing brochure, your social media, business stationery, or even an annual report, style guides serve as the compass for maintaining a strong brand identity.
